I can still take a couple song suggestions for the video.
If you think you know of a song that is appropriate for our trip, let me know. It doesn't necessarily have to be from a "Christian artist" as long as it is appropriate and fits the goals of the trip.
Thanks!
P.S. Wendy, don't even try suggesting Josh Groban.

Another mission's trip
8/16/2007 11:15:58 PM
by
JJ Trombly
10 days in another country...it seems so long before you get there.
10 days in another country...you forget to count the days when you are there.
10 days in another country...you can't believe it’s over when you leave there.
Each mission trip is not unlike the mountain top experience that Peter, James and John experienced in Matthew 17. The three disciples are allowed to glimpse a moment of God's glory. Peter's first response is to erect shelters so that they can continue to live in this experience. Unfortunately, like our Romanian trip, the disciple’s mountain top experience has a beginning and an end. Jesus tells Peter, James and John not to tell anyone of their experience until the Son of Man rises from the dead. Thankfully we serve a risen Savior and we can tell everyone about our mountain top experiences.
I believe that no one can walk away from our experiences unchanged. Everything that you did will be with you for the rest of your lives. The challenge is to take these life changing events and use them to deepen your relationship with Christ. I have seen lives changed greatly following a missions trip, I have see others revert back to the relative comfort and security of their previous existence and still others have even turned their back on almost all of their friends and church teachings. This is a choice that each of us is faced with. God has made the experience a reality - He has done His part. It is now up to you to take the experience and allow it to change us to live as He has call each of us to live. Go after each day with the attitude and willingness to serve that you displayed each day of this trip.
To our Romanian hosts (too numerous to name individually) thank you for everything you have done for us and shared with us. I know from past experience that each time we return we pick up just as we were before. That is a lasting relationship. We come under the premise of helping your country but we leave with so much more than we bring.
To the Leominster Assemblies of God group you were fantastic. Each of you has left an indelible mark with our friends in Romania – it was a privilege to serve with a remarkable group of young people and youth leaders. You have adopted a group of youth leaders and friends from North Reading that will be there for you anytime.
To the Trinity group this was the smoothest trip ever. You were flexible and fluid with just about anything that was asked of you. You raised the standard on the measure of serving on a mission trip.
To the Trinity (college age) leaders you were the highlight of my mission experience. You guys were the best, keeping everything level and moving even when we were running on empty. I believe that Trinity’s youth ministry potential has never looked better when I see the committed, talented young people willing to serve the youth of our church family.
To Ryan and Wendy your servant leadership is taken directly from the Bible itself. I can’t thank you enough for the way you serve and lead by example. It is obvious that God has great things to accomplish through your ministry in the future. I can’t wait to see it!

Ana and Ruxi, thanks for leaving messages!!
Yes, yes, we have all made it home safely, and YES with MY LUGGAGE!! When we got to the Bible College on tuesday night, my bag was waiting for me there. I had a whole whopping 5 hours with my personals and then i was checking it again with the lovely Air France. Atleast it is back here safe and sound!
I know how much you love this Ana, but really you need to hear it. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts for opening your homes and hearts and church to us. Romania really is my home away from home, and I am counting the days till we get to go back and see you again!
We love you all and please know that we are praying for you!!

Thank you Impact team for everything you did here in Romania, and I sure hope Romania had some impact on you!

HEy guys,
I hope you all got back home safe and with all of your luggage this time!
I still can't believe you already came and left, but hey, at least I got to know some of you for a short while and spent a little time with my old friends, so I will take what i can get!
I really hope Romania had enough impact on you to challenge you to return and build these relationships that started in the past week!
And if your goal was to impact Romania, you succeded at doing that as you showed your compassion either by visiting orphanages, AIDS hospitals or delievering a little help to poor people.
BE blessed, guys and be sure you just added to your reward in heaven!
ana.

The Last Part of Your Journey

by
Danny V.
Hey Tim -
Been thinking alot about you & have missed you an awful lot. It has been amazing reading all the blogs & seeing all that has been done there. I am not sure if mom will let you make that your 2nd home unless we can go with you so did you really check into that Isuzu job for me??
In reading the messages & seeing how tired everyone is getting, the verse came to me, yes - stop laughing a verse did actually come to me. I know it is not because of me but because God's Word never returns void & oops - that means 2 verses have actually come back to me. But the verse I wanted to share, when you stop laughing, with you & all is, "But those who wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run & not be weary, They shall walk & not faint." (Isaiah 40:31).
Can't wait for you to get home & hear your stories.
Just love you & miss you,
Dad
